Daisy Embury, a local artist, was our inspiration. Daisy specialises in oil painting. She creates work using flowers and plants as inspiration, as well as painting portraits. Georgia O’Keeffe inspires her work. She taught the children how to use short and long strokes plus dapping to create texture. She demonstrated how to make different hues of colour and add details to the canvas with collage materials.

The children explored 3D form and  used a range of skills and joining techniques to create a flower tile. The children created different textures on their flowers.
