We will be open for: key worker children, children with EHCP's and those with social workers. We will provide remote learning for all other pupils.
On Monday 16th November FHI are joining in with schools across the country in Odd Sock Day. This is for the KS1 children as part of their learning related to anti bullying.
On Friday 13th November FHI is having a mufti-day to support children in need. Please check the school newsletter for more information.

On the final day of term the children enjoyed a Christmas dinner together while wearing their Christmas jumpers.

Children's Christmas Dinner will be held on the 20th December
Year 1 children learnt all about the Great Fire of London in 1666. The children acted out the story together.
We celebrated Odd Sock Day. We know we are all unique and special. We treat each other with respect.
Year 2 children used drama activities to act out the story of Grace Darling. Year 2 are learning about life at sea this term.
Reception went on an Autumn Walk through the park. They found lots of signs of Autumn!
The Year 2 children visited the church to find out about christenings. They have also learnt about Sikh and Muslim naming ceremonies.
Our Reception children were excited by a visit from Earth Song. The children got to play lots of different instruments. They had a great time and learn lots about drumming and beat.
Inset day after half term - 29th October. School closed for children
On Wednesday morning we celebrated Harvest with Reverend Ann Dollery, from St Dunstan's Church.
Parents and carers visited school to taste our new school lunches.

We will be holding a Summer afternoon of tombolas and stalls on Friday 13th July from 2pm - 4pm.
During this half term our topic in Year 1 has been Enchanted Woodlands. We have been learning about Fairy Tales and Traditional Tales.
Fire! Fire! Year 1 re-enacated the Great Fire of London!
Fire! Fire! Great Fire of London Workshop comes to Year 1.
On the 1st May Year 1 had a very exciting day! We had a tea party with the Queen!
During the week we made fruit scones to share with her and some of her favourite sandwiches, cucumber and jam. We even cut the crusts off!
We made flags to wave as we sang the National Anthem and bunting and flowers to decorate the hall.
Reception had a great time at the farm and have been using it to continue their learning at school.
On Monday 19th March we had a very exciting workshop in year 1. We had a palaeontologist named Darren come into school to teach us about fossils and dinosaurs.

Following the burst water main on 13/10/17 school will be reopening on Monday . Luckily there was no damage to the school and no water was able to enter the building.
Thank you for such a great turn out on Saturday. It was great to see so many children and parents enjoying themselves! We will know how much we raised soon......
Application Deadline Friday 5th May
New playground equipment is being installed in the KS1 playground. This has been funded from the PTA. Construction started on the first day back of the summer term.
The Feltham Hill Scavenger Hunt raised an amazing £3200 which will go towards new equipment.
Its never to late to return your form with any sponsorship money or donations to help us boost this total even higher. Well done to everyone who took part.
Volunteers Needed. We are looking for volunteers to read stories to nursery and reception classes alongside the class teachers.

Before the Easter break, the Year 1 parents and carers came in for another 'work with your child morning'. It was lovely to see you all enjoying and interacting with your child whilst they are learning at school.

This week was Reception Parents got to learn with their child.
Last week the Year 2 Parents and carers came to see their children learning in school.
It's Mufti Day this Friday
This week, the Year 1 parents and carers came in for a year group meeting and then they went to see how their child is learning in their class or in the outside environment.
This week the Year 2 children had a visitor who came to speak to them about Healthy Teeth.
The children have been studying London as a topic and learning about Her Majesty, The Queen. They have been finding out facts about her including her family, what pets she has and her interests. Year 1 was then lucky enough to have a visit from her, so they decided to welcome her with a Tea Party.
There was lots of cooking involved, as children from each class had made something for the party, including scones, mini pizza's, cheese twists, sandwiches and cakes. Also in preparation for the Tea Party, children learnt the National Anthem- 'God save the Queen' and they also learnt how to traditionally greet her with a bow and curtsey.
The children had a fun-filled learning afternoon!

We were visited by The Worshipful The Mayor of the London Borough of Hounslow, Councillor Nisar Malik, on Tuesday 20th October.
Each week we will be asking for donations to help make our Bazaar a success.
We are taking Reception children on an ‘Autumn Hunt’ on this Thursday morning (15th October).
To celebrate Harvest Festival, on Wednesday 7th October, the children enjoyed a visit from Reverend Anne from St. Dunstans Church, Feltham.
On Tuesday the Reception Classes had their sports morning and parents and carers came to see them.
This week the Year 2 pupils were visited by Sculpture Artist, Darcy Turner.
This week the parents and carers of our Nursery children came to visit their children during their busy learning times.
On Wednesday 24th June, the Year 1 children had their Sports morning.

This week our Early Years children had a visit from Earth Song for a 'Round the World' multicultural music workshop. This was an interactive class session for the children where they saw and played many different kinds of instruments including antique ones. The children learnt about where the instruments come from and even how some of them are made, such as the drums! Also in the workshop, children took part in a rhythm games session- with full size drums and then did some movement work, responding to different patterns of music.
This week the Year 1 classes invited their grown-ups to come and see their class assembly. The assembly was based on the recent topics - healthy eating and the body and they also talked about their trip to Painshill Park.
The Year 1 classes visited Painshill Park on June 1st and June 8th.
Reverend Anne from St. Dunstan’s Church here in Feltham visited the Year 1 children last week and answered questions about Christenings and Baptism.
Then the Year 1 children visited St. Dunstan’s Church.
On Wednesday 13th May the Year 1 parents and carers came in for a year group meeting and then they went to work with their child in class.
On Tuesday 12th May, the Year 2 parents and carers came in to work with their child.
On Monday 11th May, after a Reception year group meeting, the parents and Carers worked with their child.
Parents and Carers came and enjoyed Lion and Tiger class's assembly on Thursday 7th May. Then on Thursday 14th May, Zebra and Giraffe class had their assembly. These assemblies were based on their recent trip to Bocketts Farm.
On Friday 1st May, we had a fundraising Mufti Day (non-uniform) day. The children were allowed to wear their own clothing, alongside a small donation for the charity.
On Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th April, the Reception classes visited Bocketts Farm Park in Fetchem, Leatherhead.
On Thursday 23rd April the children who were members of various clubs outside of school were allowed to wear their club uniform.
We had children who were wearing uniform from different scouting and guide clubs such as 'Beavers', 'Badgers', 'Brownies', 'Rainbow' and others such as the 'St. John Ambulance' club. This is because Scouts and Guides throughout England parade through the high streets and then attend a special St. Georges Day service with their local churches.
St. George is known as the Patron Saint of England, who was a brave Roman Soldier who protested against the Romans' torture of Christians and died for his beliefs.
Following the footsteps of Year 1, the Year 2 classes have been competing against each other in inter class sport competitions.
As part of a team they undertake a series of races, which challenge skills such as balance, speed, ball control and throwing.

Year 1 and 2 children enjoyed a very exciting visit from an astronomer.
They learnt lots of information about space.
Last week the Year 2 children went on an exciting trip to Windsor Castle because they are learning about castles and what they were used for.
Some children have written about what they learnt on the trip and their favourite bits.
Lily – Butterfly Class
'My favourite bit was when they told us that if the enemies were twenty miles away it would take one day for them to get to the castle.
We got there by coach it took quit a long time to get there. When we got there it looked amazing.
Sometimes a person would come in the hall and teach us about Windsor castle.
I would like to go again with my family.'

'My favourite part was looking at all the shield’s in Great George hall.
We had a check list of objects of the castle and when we saw one we checked it.
We went to Windsor castle because we were leaning about feature’s of a castle at school.
We went to the moat room and a lady told us lot’s of information about castle.
We saw the place’s where the Queen’s family were berried.'
Over the term the Year 1 and 2 students have made many different meals and followed recipes to make them.
Reception walked to Feltham Tesco’s to visit the bakery.
On Tuesday the 10th of February, 9 children from Year 2 went to compete in the Hounslow Borough School Sports Competition.
The children have learnt lots of tricks and skills in the circus workshop, practising their balancing with fun activities.
The children have learnt many tricks and skills over the last few weeks at football club.
The girls get a great workout by taking part in warm-up games and learning their cheerleading routine.
In funky fitness the children get a great workout to upbeat music.
In drama club the children enjoy a variety of activities and games that really express their imagination. The also learn skills like facing the audience so they can hear you perform and acting at different paces.

On the 12th of December we had a Christmas Jumper day to help raise money for the ‘Save the Children’ charity.
Year 1 performed their concert 'Baubles' to parents and the school. They spread the Christmas spirit with their beautiful singing and dancing.
This week the reception children performed 'The Innkeeper's breakfast'.
The nursery children enjoyed singing Christmas songs to their families.
Each week we will be collecting things to sell or use at the Bazaar
Tuesday 11th November 2014 after school in the new hall.
If you are able to donate cakes, please bring them into school by Monday 10th November or Tuesday 11th am.
It is for a good cause and all proceeds from the sale will be spent on resources for the children.
