Year 2 visit Nower Wood
We had a super day looking for minibeasts!
We learnt all about invertebrates because in Science we were learning about animal survival and habitats! We were very excited to investigate what we could find living in different habitats. First we went pond dipping and used huge nets to scoop! We went on a sensory walk through the woodland habitat to experience what it's like to be a woodlouse. We had to use our hands as 'feelers' so that we didn't bump into the trees. We also went on a hunt for invertebrates in the woodland and managed to find spiders, woodlice, worms, nails and ants! We grouped them based on the number of legs they had!
