Year 2 History-Significant people
Year 2 enjoyed an exciting History engage day bringing their learning to life through a range of activities inspired by four significant people from the past. The teachers came dressed as Emmeline Pankhurst, the activist and campaigner for women’s right to vote, Mary Anning, the pioneering palaeontologist, Joseph Lister, the scientist and pioneer of antiseptic surgery and Pablo Picasso, the influential artist. The children took part in a variety of activities linked to each of these remarkable individuals. They thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to explore history in such an interactive way.
