Home Time Procedures

  • Please queue outside the classroom door in the order you arrive, keeping the queue orderly and avoiding gathering in a crowd around the doorway. Children need clear space to safely leave their classrooms.
  • Children are being taught to wait inside until a school adult calls their name. Please do not call your child from outside, wave to them or encourage them to come out.
  • The teacher or school adult must call each child and ensure a safe handover to the adult collecting them before they leave.
  • If you have older siblings with you, please ensure they stay with you in the queue rather than gathering around the classroom door. This can make it difficult for the younger children to leave and creates confusion.
  • Children must be collected by an adult or sibling aged 14 or over.
