World Book Day is coming....

We are very excited to be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March.

To mark the occasion, children are invited to come to school dressed as a character from a favourite book. This can be as simple or as creative as you like – homemade costumes are absolutely welcome, and there is no expectation for families to purchase anything special.

As part of our continued focus on reading for pleasure, we would also like each child to bring in their own favourite book to share with their class. This might be a story they love, a book they enjoy reading at home, or one they like to share with family members. Please ensure your child’s name is clearly written inside the book.

Throughout the day, the children will take part in a range of book-themed activities designed to promote a lifelong love of reading. We will be sharing stories, exploring different authors and characters, and celebrating the joy that books bring to our learning.

We are looking forward to seeing lots of wonderful book characters in school and sharing a day full of reading!
