The aim of Religious Education in the Borough of Hounslow is to help children and young people to learn about and learn from religious and spiritual insights, beliefs and practices.
In Feltham Hill Infant and Nursery School we teach RE in accordance with the locally agreed syllabus (Widening Horizons).

As part of our Enrichment Curriculum we are organising visits to local places of worship and visits from people of different religious backgrounds.

Topic: New Babies RE focus: how babies are welcomed, Christian Baptism (special objects, baptism at the church), John the Baptist, welcoming Sikh babies. |
Topic: Worship at home RE focus: Hindu Puja tray, Buddhist shrine, Islamic prayer mat, Shabbat (creation story, special artefacts). |

Topic: Sacred texts RE focus: different religious stories and texts: the Torah, religious symbols, Islamic art, the Qu’ran, illuminated script in the Bible. |
Foundation Stage pupils have the opportunities to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world through RE lessons
All our pupils are very proud to present their work, in which they have used different skills to help their understanding of various religions.
