Profile:

I am a LA Governor and currently Chair of Governors, and I joined the Governing Body during my son’s first year at school in Reception at Feltham Hill Infant and Nursery. I decided to put myself forward for Parent Governor as I could see the great potential in the school and was incredibly interested in how they approached ensuring success for all children through interactive learning.

I bring with me experience in education as a teacher in the local area, and also as a parent as my daughter is now in Year 2. I visit and keep in contact with the school regularly, and pupil achievement and happiness and safety is certainly what drives the work of the Senior Leadership Team and Governors.

Profile:

I have been a co-opted Governor since 2014.  I am a widower with 2 children and 2 grandchildren. I retired after a career in the civil service, in the financial services sector, and latterly as a non-executive director in the NHS.

After I retired I wanted to undertake a voluntary role in which I could make use of my experience of committee work in a number of different organisations. I am delighted to do so in FHIN which is a real centre of excellence with extremely capable and inspirational staff, and with happy and well-motivated children.

Profile:

I joined the Governing Body as a Parent Governor many years ago. When my term of office expired after my children had finished in the infant school I became a Co-opted Governor. I now have twin Grandchildren who have just started in the nursery so still have a very strong interest in the school.

I have been on various training courses to help me with my Governance, and represent our Governing Body on the Hounslow schools Governing Body Association (HSGBA).

Profile:

I joined the Governing Body as a Co-opted Governor in March 2018. Previously I had worked in the school for 22 years, first in the school office and then as a Teaching Assistant in KS1.  Working alongside children in the early stages of their education was such a privilege. After I retired I became a volunteer in the school and now spend one morning a week in KS1.

Being a Governor allows me to give something back to the school community and alongside all members of the Governing Body we want to see the school continue to grow and sustain the success it has strived so hard to achieve.

I am very proud to be the staff governor on the governing body. I have taught at Feltham Hill for over 30 years and now have the pleasure of knowing 3 generations of some families. It is a real privilege and joy to work with young children knowing that I play an important role in their learning and development.

As a member of the governing body I bring my experience of being both a class teacher and senior leader in our outstanding school as well as having a good working knowledge of our children and their families. I am committed to ensuring that the school continues to maintain high standards in all areas, enabling our children to  learn through real experiences, enjoy learning and achieve to the best of their ability.

Profile:

I am a Co-opted Governor since November 2018. I am married with two grown up daughters. I recently retired from Kingston College of Further Education where I was Deputy Head of the Care Section including Early Years and Health and Social Care. I was a safeguarding nominee and was responsible for student attendance.

After I retired, I volunteered for a local charity helping families in need, but I was also keen to use my previously acquired skills in education; so I am very pleased to be able be part of the Governor team at FHIN and look forward to making a contribution to the school.

Profile:

I joined the Governing Body as a Parent Governor in 2016. I joined after my son started in Reception at Feltham Hill and I was extremely impressed with his transition into school. I found  the style of teaching was something to be really proud of, the teachers make learning fun and have real passion and commitment to the school and that is one of the many reasons why I wanted to volunteer to be a Parent Governor.

I work in the Civil Service and have experience in Safeguarding and Social care. I am hoping to expand on my skills and support the school in continuing to provide outstanding education for our children

As a newly Co-opted Governor, I am thrilled to join the team at Feltham Hill Infant and Nursery School.

My experience as a class teacher, specialising in Key Stage 1 and the Early Years, has enabled me to appreciate the level of support and the commitment required of all those who contribute in different ways to making this school's offering so unique.

It is my aim to help ensure that the vision of the school is positively challenged, embraced, and that the outstanding reputation of the school continues to thrive as the children and community grows. If you see me around the school, please do come and say hello.
