Children from Year 1 and Year 2 have been busy in our gardens
We have been learning about the different gardening tools we will be using when gardening, such as a trowel, spade and a wheelbarrow.
We started by weeding and getting the soil ready for our plants. We had to collect the soil and transport it to our garden area.
We planted heather in Welly boots to brighten the garden up, then we planted bulbs in hanging baskets and we recycled milk cartons to use as planters for our primrose.
We also learnt that gardening is not only about planting flowers, it's about growing vegetables too. So next we will be planting potatoes and onions!
