Year 1 visit Painshill Park
Year 1 trip to Painshill Park
Last week our Year 1 children had a trip to Painshill Park which is a beautiful 18th Century landscape garden situated in Cobham, Surrey and it was originally created by the Honourable Charles Hamilton, between 1738 and 1773.
You can visit http://www.painshill.co.uk/ for more information.
Children worked together in groups to build a den. They first looked around for natural materials that they could use and then they needed to make sure that each of their dens were warm, waterproof and strong. Once they were finished they had tested them!
Throughout the trip, the children were involved in lots of other fun and interesting physical activities such as drawing pictures using charcoal from fire and using mud to paint them.
