World Book Day

Celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March

We celebrated reading on the annual World Book Day, where  pupils and staff came dressed as their favourite book character, along with their book from home.

This day encouraged children to read more and to love and respect books.

We had some great costumes this year from the children and adults! We had the Gruffalo, Fantastic Mr Fox, Harry Potter, Where's Wally, Little Red Riding Hood, Supergirl and many many more! You can see some of these from the captured photos of the day below.

There was lots of reading going on too-individually and with the grown ups, children shared their books with each other as well!

Your child has received and brought home with them £1 book tokens to use towards buying a book or audio book of their choice worth £2.99 or more- or to pay for selected £1 World Book Day book titles in all participating bookshops. Voucher is valid up until the 27th March 2016. Please read the back of the voucher for the £1 book titles and/or any other information you require or you can visit the following website: http://www.worldbookday.com/books

We will be holding a Scholastic Book Fair in school on the 16th and 17th of March    and children will be able to use the same voucher there too for any £1 World Book Day books available.
